I just spoke with the tech who came out, he said that my ISP removed some old equipment from the one tower we connected to (We have wireless internet) but didn't inform anyone, so it fucked us up and left us without internet. The tech repointed us at a different tower and now everything is good.

According to the last tech who was out here (Today), he said that the tower we were connected to via our canopy system (Wireless) has been shutdown because they're upgrading it, and removing old useless equipment. With no ETA on system restoration.
They decided that INFORMING THE INSTALLERS AND CUSTOMERS WAS A DUMB THING TO DO AND ONLY DID SO AFTER A WEEK OR SO. Oh and not to mention when I first called in, I was flat out LIED to saying nothing was being done with the tower <_<
So, on Thursday (The 20th) a tech came out, and repointed the dish, which fixed it. Until midnight, when a windstorm kicked up and killed it again.
Turns out, that incompetant person didn't tighten the damn canopy tight enough, so the wind moved it to its original position. <_<

Each and every time, they told me the towers were functioning A-OK, there was no work being done to them, they were up and running and that no one else was having an issue.
This was a lie because
1) The tower I connected to WAS SHUT DOWN on the 15th after midnight and has not been restarted yet.
2) A whole ton of people in my area were having issues related to said tower as well since it's OFFLINE.

Rural area, the only options for internet are Satellite, dial-up, Xplornet Wireless or Bell's Rural High Speed
Our account is a grandfathered account, 1.5 down, 700 up with unlimited bandwidth.
Is it slow? Yeah, but it's faster than dial-up. Unlimited bandwidth is great for what we can get out here.
All of Xplornets new accounts are bandwidth limited, and they suck.
Cheapest is 3 down, 700 up, 5 gb bandwidth for $40 a month.
Intermediate is 5 down, 1 up, 30 gb bandwidth for $60 a month, with an option to upgrade to 50 gb for an extra $5 a month.
Most expensive is 10 down, 1 up, 30 gb bandwidth for $80 a month, with an option to upgrade to 50 gb for an extra $5 a month.
Satellite sucks, and so does Bell's Rural high speed.
I haven't looked into Bell's in a while, but theirs are fucking ridiculous.
...And I can't remember their shit, despite perfectly recalling it the other day.
IIRC their cheapest package was something like, 2 down, 1 up with 500 mb of bandwidth a month.
Most expensive was 2 down, 2 up with a 2 gb cap for over $100.
