| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Did anyone else watch the premiere tonight? I thought it was pretty good. A little rough, but you can't really fault it for that... All of the Trek series have been like that at first. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |

| Level: 37 Advanced | I thought it was awesome. It looks to be as fun as DS9 with more suspense and action. The only thing annoying was the commercials. reminds me of Walking dead how long they took. and then the LAST commercial just a commercial for CREDITS. :| --- "But friends, i ask you. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | So episode 3 was pretty good. The Discovery finally showed up and it's one fine ass ship. Not as cool as the Enterprise D or Voyager, but still cool enough. That breath identification system was the fucking dumbest thing I've ever seen, though. As for the commercials... Yeah. I actually pulled the stopwatch program on my PC up and let it run during the show and commercials. There was roughly 5 minutes and 30 seconds (+/-60 seconds) worth of commercials for every 9 minutes (+/-60 seconds) of show. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Welp. I'm shocked. That was a good episode, but they used a DOUBLE F BOMB in the show, and they DIDN'T CENSOR IT. (Watching it via the SPACE channel) I'm just so shocked by that. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |

| Level: 44 DSB Moderator | Not a fan of the show. It doesn't feel like Star Trek, it's so poorly written and goes back on enough established parts of the series that I'm personally offended by it. Because of the franchise that it is, I have to hold it to a higher standard and it fails on all accounts. That the ship itself doesn't even show up until the third episode, you know the thing in the damn title, just makes it that much weirder. Star Trek has always been more of a space opera than anything, with multiple character-driven stories often going on at once. This time it's one character who they go out of their way to make us dislike through her actions in the pilot episodes while constantly being told how great she is despite all the evidence to the contrary. Star Trek was never one character's story, it was the entire crew of whatever vessel they were on, and that ship was as much a character as any of the actors. And the point about technology and races that they changed to fit their story... yeah, it's definitely not a faithful representation of what that time period is in the Star Trek franchise. And fuck their Klingons. What really pisses me off the most about Paramount going this direction is that they did away with Axanar, which was a much more interesting story. --- "In the best relationships, nobody wears the pants." |

| Level: 37 Advanced | It dialed down on the butt-kissing with Michael, but I definitely noticed this recent episode it's showing some strong signs of "Star Trek meets The Walking Dead". I actually like the show so far, but I feel this show lately is trying too hard to make some grand landscapes. F bombs and gay marriages i heard was something they tried getting into Star Trek a long time ago, but the pacing this show goes by makes me think "Yay! We did it! :D" --- "But friends, i ask you. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Technically, the ship shows up in the first episode. I don't consider the first 2 episodes as episodes of the series, because they played back-to-back. More of an hour and a half long intro movie to the series. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | That episode was SUPER GOOD. I really like how they pulled off the time loop. It's rare to see a time loop episode that doesn't involve the episode following the character experiencing the time loop. When Mudd calle out the "Random communications officer" I laughed so fucking hard. The montage of Lorca's death was hilarious too. It was also nice to see the return of personal logs. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | So, the season finale was last sunday. 10/10. Fucking loved it. The entire thing. Show was fucking awesome. Last episode felt a tiny bit rushed, but. I can't complain. <-> http://www.backloggery.com/kodan882 |
