Thoughts }}}
Alien. Predator. Vs. We’ve seen it all before. Anyone remember Freddy vs. Jason? That wasn’t much of a scary movie, but yet an action movie. Alien vs. Predator is just that, an action movie, and if you’re really slow, you wouldn’t know that the movie is based on Aliens fighting Predators (duh…). The Aliens come from the Alien franchise, while the Predators come from the Predator franchise, and are brought together by a storyline that is so full of plot holes, I will let you decide for yourself. Here is how they got the two creatures to appear on a movie together:

Predators like to hunt, and they especially like to hunt Aliens. Every hundred years, an Alien Queen, kept captive in the ice pyramid, lays hundreds of eggs. The Predators have lured the humans down to her lair to play their role as incubators to the offspring. Once they hatch, the Predator warriors will have a great time hunting and killing Aliens.

Very flat right? You guessed it. The story is as dull as putting Blue’s Clues and Scooby Doo into one show. The creatures looks seem uninspired. The Predators look like T1 models from Terminator (the first robots, those big metal ones, not the human ones). That’s pretty much about it on the negative side, and oh yeah, add in a pyramid that re-configures itself every five minutes or so, and you’ll get an expedition team screwed over.

On the brighter side, yes there is a brighter side, the action was great. The fighting between the two races is excellent, and I love how they put it all together. The dull storyline is what really brings this movie down. The actors were terrible, but I don’t blame them. They tried their best trying to play these one-dimensional characters. The only thing going for this movie is, the action. And even sometimes the action looks like wrestling, taken to new heights. If you’re a fan boy, you can just take it to the ass and cry, because I didn’t like this movie. Period.
