After a long hiatus, we are back! And continuing in our (not entirely intentional) trend of Nintendo games, we have GameFAQs user Moogle_Master's review of Animal Crossing for the GameCube. Let the good times roll.
Title: Not all that great
Nice attention grabber, Moogle_Master! If only there were some words to sum up how I feel about this...
If you were to cross Maple Town, Sylvanian Families (Calico Critters), Harvest Moon, And the Sims!
I've never even heard of like half those games.
then you have this game down in a nut shell.
What? That's not a nutshell at all! You could describe Animal Crossing for real quicker than that.
In fact the start of this game reminds me a lot of the first episode of Maple Town, Complete with monkey Conductor.
There's no game named Maple Town listed on GameFA... Wait, hold on.
Okay yeah, you're really expecting the average reviewer to get this reference to an anime from 1986?
The basic of idea of this game is that you do little projects for all the cute little animals in the village, like laundry... Stuff like that.
...Except not like that specifically, unless I just missed the laundry quest.
All together, this game ain't as great as most people think, I found it somewhat confusing,
This game is about as confusing as Pong.
though I only played for maybe an hour.

Either way the creatures all rude and snotty, like this clown tom nook, who wants you to get flowers or something like that.
And then this asshole named K. K. Slider was like, "got a song request?" or some shit, and I was like, "whatever, man, I just want to go back to my house and play some more Clu Clu Land".
Also you can customize your cloths and your house, plus!
...Plus what?
And this is really cool!
It's totally radical! Off the hook tubular! ...Fantastiglorious!
You can play some classic NES games which is great for us old school gamers.
Clu Clu Land yesssssssss.
But what is up with the weird looking elf people and all?!
Orlando Bloom is going to sue you for libel.
Maybe I was expecting something like a Sims style game crossed with Sylvanian Families.
...I don't know why you were expecting that, honestly, but clearly it's a fault of the game that your expectations were not met!
I don't hate this game or anything like that but
