Well hell, let's try for the cycle!

Yep, I'm writing my first article in ages. Not sure what inspired it. Not sure why I'm writing. But in all honesty, if I haven't been removed from my mod position by the end of this, then something's wrong.

Yes, work sucks. Anybody with a job will tell you this. Hell, anybody without a job will tell you this. If you're working behind a cash register, you'll have some guy up your ass, telling you that if you're a cent off, he'll come to your house and assrape your family and eat your children.

What a screwed up world, isn't it?

If you have any power, then not only do you have some executive screaming stupid shit at you (WE'RE DOWN 3 POINTS IN STOCK, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!), but you've also got the people on a lower power scale than you, screaming about how they need this, and they need that, and how this person is bothering them, and how this person is ass-raping them...

But wait, I know what you're asking. "Hey moron, where the hell does this come in with your article?"

Yeah, I'm getting to that.

But anyways, you just take it like a man. If you don't do something right, you'll get over it. If you don't, you'll walk home. Or lose your job.

Which is where the important part of the article comes in.

You see, there's a thin line between doing your job, and being an asshole while doing it. This line is blurred for some, like myself, and perfectly fine for others.

By now, there's prolly 3 people out there screaming "OMFGANGST~!", and in which case, you need to shut the hell up. 5 other people out there are screaming, "Oh yeah, Cross, blurred...right...you had no concept there was even a line there, you moronic walrus." The rest of you are going, "WTF is he talking about?"

Yeah, I've been demoted. I've been demoted in job, rank, and overall stature. However, I usually take it in stride, and laugh at what a dumbass they'll be in 10 years, sitting on a street corner, asking for spare change, all so they can feed their drug habit. And I'm usually right, considering they have the IQ of a walrus when they try to be a moron towards me. And it shows.

Strangely enough, I've put up with a lot of this, mostly because of my weight. Yes, I'm overweight. Yes, 5 years down the road, I'll have no knees due to repeated surgery. Yes, 5 years down the road, I'll be in a wheelchair because my back gave out on me. But sometimes, they insult you for stupid stuff, like said before, your grasp on lines.

And then, there's the relationship. Yes, the relationship. Few people I know have them. It's enough to make you want to rip out your heart, show it to your partner, and then eat it sometimes, just to show it's there. But sometimes, like in my case, there are just hard times, hard knocks, and other things like that. Well, it's funny though. I never remember being like this before a few months ago. I'd just write the occasional fiction, and laugh as it died because I was stupid enough to write it without enough ideas. I rarely ranted. Hell, this is my first extensive "rant", you may call it.

Will this article make sense to someone who has never had a job?

A little, but not much.

Will this article ever make sense to someone with a job?

Once again, a little, but not much.

Will this article ever make sense to me?

...A little, but not much.

I don't even have a clue what I write sometimes. However, I don't like to say I'm sorry. It just shows you're weak, and you need an excuse to go with the sorry ploy. Sure, I give excuses, but I never slap someone in the fact by saying "I'm Sorry", to go with it. You don't say you're sorry for robbing a bank, do you? No, you don't. Saying you're sorry just says that you know you did it, and you want them to act as if it never happened.

That's not an apology, my friends. That's trying to forget your past. Your boss may be an asshole. Your co-workers may be complete bastards. But take it in stride. If you don't, you'll end up like me, looking for excuses to make up for my stupidity.

And that's like an apology.
