The Gaming Tales
The Gaming Tales
Ten friends and I were to take a trip
To Crystal Beach. We packed our bags and off we went.
The shrine of St. Hiatus is where we shall end
And the Holiday Inn is where we begin.
The Fanboy first is of whom I will speak
His standards for gaming are very weak.
He’ll stick to one game with unreasonable duress
Without looking at any of all of the rest.
Moreover, when something new will come out
He’ll say the old the is best without any doubt.
The Hardcore gamer is the next in the line.
He loves all games and plays all of the time.
He’s played all the games; you could not name one
That he has not beaten and he has not won.
The king of all gamers, he’s first on the Hall
Of Fame. He is better, the best of them all.
The athletic is next with hand on a ball.
His believes sports games should rule over all.
His wish is that he could play ball with the pros.
Sadly, not for this rotund boy, as everyone knows.
But for now, he’ll have to stick with the stream
Of games with the people with real talent on the screen.
The constant gamer now rides on the trail.
You can see who he is because he is so very pale.
He thinks the games are so much fun
It has been twenty-four years since he’s seen the sun.
He is strongly against physical labor
If he had to work, video games would be his major.
Eventually, it’s hard to miss the person
Who is a bad gamer, very much worse than
Any gamer I have ever seen anywhere around.
He can hardly even stand on the ground.
This man lacks in good hand-eye coordination
Even at such a simple thing as go-cart racing.
There is a child about nine or ten.
With games he is new he can barely begin
To play any games without looking to see,
That by playing this new game that he
Will gain any stature in the society of school
And how it will make him look utterly cool.
Now behind the boy of nine or ten
Is a person whom hates all of them.
The games, he sees as uncanny ploys
To soften the minds of girls and boys
With violence, crime and other misdeeds.
Through game after game he weeds
To rid the world of such a violent game.
Without them, he sees the world as tame.
The avid gamer quickest will come
To the stores to see what the latest game has done.
He does not play much, but what he does
Play, he is uncommonly good because
He knows the game through thick and thin.
And he’ll play the game until he can win.
As we slowly progress on the land
The next gamer we’ll see has a magazine in hand.
A well-learned man is he with his magazine
For he will tell people things, few have foreseen.
Games are his job, an editor I mean.
The job lived by all but only in dream.
Bringing up the end of our little excursion
Is the rich gamer who buys all with no derision.
He buys and plays games only to show-
Off to the people who don’t have any dough.
Big screen TVs and other accessories,
He seems to like only the best of these.
Now, I must end this beginning.
So do not just stand there toothless, grinning.
Come join us on this trip long and very
Cumbersome. And perhaps make us merry,
As we travel down this road so long,
By singing us a travel song.
