ENTER: THE ROOM
ENTER: THE ROOM
Your over at a friend’s house on a hot summer day. You get over heated and you decide to go inside. You don’t really know where your going, and wish your friend had told you where there room is, so you could relax. Well I don’t know where your friend’s room is or what it looks like, but if you’re ever at my house you’ll know just where everything is by this description.
You have to start somewhere so the door seems reasonable. My room is fourteen foot by ten foot, with a door on the left side of a fourteen-foot wall. On the side of my door is a poster of Garfield that says, “Enter at your own risk.” As you enter my room you will see a desk to your left. The desk is extremely cluttered, and I use “extremely” very loosely. On my desk there are three shelves; one with 4 doors holding numerous magazines. The second hold approximately eight paperback books and a radio. The third has a tissue box, a pencil sharpener and Magic: the Gathering cards everywhere. On the same wall on the right side of my desk there is a door that opens to my closet. In my closet are boxes piled and a chest I made in 9th grade woodshop and got second place at regional for TSA, and several trophies that I received in church.
Next is the other fourteen-foot wall. It contains a mirror, bookshelf, my bed and a lamp. The mirror has a gold border with a black inside border. The bookshelf has four shelves the top one contains an encyclopedia set. The second and third are covered with many magazines, and the fourth is covered with junk. Next, is my bed; it is a captains bed with blue sheets, a white sheet, a brown and white comforter, a blue and yellow blanket, and five pillows. There is also a tall lamp with three lights beside my bed.
The next wall has little own it. First is a Newsboys poster that I got at their concert they had at the astrodome. Beside it is my only direct escape to the outside world, my window. Above it is a navy blue valance. Below the window is a rather large nightstand covered with junk. In the corner of the wall, and the door wall is also filled with boxes of junk.
On the last wall there are two four by ten foot panels of sheetrock. Above the sheetrock there are several posters. Starting from left to right they are; a poster I made during TAAS week last year, a Armageddon poster I got from McDonalds, two Garfield posters and an Earthworm Jim 2 poster. Above the posters is an 18 in black light with and extension cord going behind the sheetrock. To the left of the posters and right of the door, is a message center with a calendar a dry erase board, and post it notes, and a strip of cork. Undernith it is my light switch, which is color red blue green and glow in the dark white in a camo pattern. On the switch is as jack in the box head.
Now you have seen my room through your minds eye, so you’ll know somewhat remotely what my room looks like next time you come by. Clearly my room represents my self, sloppy but efficient.
